CULLMAN, Ala. – The main branch of the Cullman County Public Library System (CCPLS) will host an event in partnership with Empty Bowls of Cullman County on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

CCPLS Assistant Director Shelby Creekmore said this is a one-time promotional event for the 20th annual Empty Bowls of Cullman County Chili Dinner, which is set for Feb. 17, at First United Methodist Church.

“The program takes place at 10 a.m. for our regular story time and at 4 p.m. for an additional program where all ages are welcome,” Creekmore said. “The program will include the reading of two stories, a showing of the pottery they make for the fundraiser and a craft for the children.”

Creekmore said patrons do not need to bring anything to participate in the program.

“The program will be led by Tanya Shearer and Christy Brock on Tuesday, Feb. 4,” she said. This is our first Empty Bowls event.”

The main branch of the Cullman County Public Library System is located at 200 Clark St. NE in Cullman. It can be reached by phone at 256-734-2720.

The Empty Bowls of Cullman County Chili Dinner will be held in Hearin Hall at First United Methodist Church from 4-6:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 17.
