Crane Hill man’s bond revoked on sodomy, rape charges

CULLMAN, Ala. – A Crane Hill man is behind bars following his arrest on May 5, 2024, on multiple bond revocation charges.

Austin Chase Ray Van Keuren, 27, was arrested by deputies for statutory rape, sodomy (with a woman, strong arm), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, illegal use or possession of a credit or debit card, receiving stolen property and theft.

In an email to The Tribune, the CCSO’s Chad Whaley wrote, “Austin Chase Ray Van Keuren (27) of Crane Hill was arrested on 05/05/24 by Cullman County Sheriff’s Office Deputies. All listed charges were Motion to Revoke Bond charges. The original charges stemmed from incidents occurring in 2022 and 2023. Van Keuren is currently being held at the Cullman County Detention Center with no bond.”
