CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office made multiple unrelated arrests over the holiday weekend, including:

Dec. 22

Deputies arrested Faith Elizabeth Welbourn, 25, of Hanceville, on multiple failure to appear (FTA) warrants stemming from an incident that occurred earlier in 2023.

She is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Dec. 23

Deputies arrested Ryan Joseph Jolly, 36, of Shelby, Alabama, on two bond revocations. He is charged with manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident with death or personal injury.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle in the Berlin community. Jessica Leigh Thursby, 34, of Cullman, was identified as the passenger on the motorcycle. 

Deputies determined that Thursby had multiple outstanding warrants. A subsequent search also allegedly yielded narcotics. 

Thursby is charged with Illegal possession of prescription drugs, unlawful possession of marijuana, burglary (FTA), three counts of unlawful possession of dangerous drugs (FTA), two counts of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia (FTA) and unlawful possession of marijuana (FTA). 


Dec. 24

Deputies arrested Mitchell Donavon Lamar, 41, of Hanceville, on an outstanding warrant stemming from an incident that occurred in August 2023.

Lamar is charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
