Funeral Service for Billy Hershel Wood, age 87, of Cullman, will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2023, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Ben Wilson officiating; interment in Cullman City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2023, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Mr. Wood passed away on Monday, Oct. 2, 2023, at his residence. He was born March 12, 1936, in Calera, Alabama, to Bruce Wood and Eva Northcutt Wood.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Mae Wood; wife, Charlotte Wood; daughter, Deborah Miller; parents; and sisters, Louise Wood, Mildred Wood, Patricia Lolly, and Joyce Lolly.
Survivors include his children, Steve Wood, Janna Wilson, Jeanette Oden, Jeanine Oden, Susan Holladay, and Elizabeth Saade, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
