DECATUR, Ala. – After cruising past Columbia in week one, the Fairview Aggies faced their first road test of the season in week two with a matchup at Priceville. It took the Aggies a little time to find their rhythm offensively, but they dominated from start to finish on the defensive side of the ball, returning home with a 35-0 shutout win over the Bulldogs.

Both teams exchanged punts on their opening possessions but on their second drive, the Aggies took a 7-0 lead after Eli Frost punched one into the end zone from 17 yards out and Kolt Redding knocked through the extra point. Fairview came up with an interception later in the second quarter, setting the Aggies’ offense up with a short field and just a couple plays later, Frost ran in his second score of the night from 15 yards out to make it a 14-0 game.

Fairview took over possession in the final few minutes of the half and looked to add to its lead before the break. Big runs by Frost moved the ball deep into Priceville territory and Carson Jones capped off the scoring drive with a 4-yard touchdown run to put the Aggies on top 21-0 going into the locker room at halftime.

After a scoreless third quarter, the Aggies forced the Bulldogs to turn the ball over on downs early in the fourth and Jones’ second touchdown of the night made it 28-0 with a little over seven minutes remaining. In the final three minutes of the game, Jake Harper officially put things away with a 39-yard touchdown run that wrapped up a 35-0 road win for the Aggies.

Fairview improves to 2-0 with the win at Priceville and the Aggies will be back on the road next week for a regional game at East Limestone.
