Funeral service for Jeanette Smith-Grund, 66, of Hanceville, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2023 at Hanceville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fairview West Cemetery. Jeanette’s family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jeanette, a life resident of Cullman County, was the daughter of the late Howard and Rachel Rhodes Smith.
Surviving Jeanette are her husband, Jeffery Story; children, Janet Grund and Auburn Willoughby; grandchildren, Elizabeth Phillips, Zachary Phillips and Maggie Bailey. Also are her siblings, Kathy Smith Burmester, Donna Smith Moon and Harold Smith as well as nieces and nephews, Heather Fields, Tiffany Matthews, April Smith and Amy Jo Moon.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Milton Grund; a sister, Hazel Smith and a nephew, Roman Smith.
