Funeral service for Wayne Blackwood, age 85, of Cullman, will be at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2023, at Bethlehem West Baptist Church with Jerry Lake and Shane Wheeler officiating; interment in Bethlehem West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. prior to the service.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Blackwood passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023, at his residence. He was born July 4, 1938, to Ister Blackwood and Itallie Blackwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ferrell Blackwood and Howard Blackwood.
Survivors include his wife, Betty “Jean” Blackwood; daughters, Leshia (Tim) Rich and Sandy (Sammy) Schaffer; sons, Kim (Karen) Blackwood and Eric Blackwood; grandchildren, Jesse (Lindsey) Rich, Tallie (Luke) Calvert, Jacob (Ashton) Schaffer, Kambell Blackwood; great-grandson, Davie Schaffer; and sisters, Frances (Jerry) Lake and Melba Aris.
