CULLMAN, Ala.  – It will be kickstands up for the Saints Motorcycle Club (MC) seventh annual Miracle League Ride Saturday, June 10. The yearly event, which also features a raffle, T-shirts, food and refreshments, raises funds for the Miracle League of Cullman.

Ride coordinator and founder of Friends of the Miracle League Brandi Evans said her inspiration for the event came from close ties to the Miracle League and Saints MC, with her son, Jacob, playing in the league for 15 years and her husband, Brian, being a dedicated Saints member.

Evans said so many individuals with special needs could really benefit from what the Miracle League offers, but often, the cost of registration fees is a barrier to those with fixed incomes or large medical bills.

“It was at that time that I realized that if you wanted to raise money to help someone, there’s no community better than the biker community,” she smiled. “And boy, did they step up!”

Evans noted that funds raised from the ride go directly to Cullman Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism, which oversees the Field of Miracles, where Miracle League games are held. This ensures that any individual- regardless of ability to pay – can enjoy the opportunity of being a team player.

Evans said this annual fundraiser would not be the same without the participation of local bike enthusiasts, specifically the Saints MC for its dedication and donation of its clubhouse as a starting point.

“This is the seventh annual Saints MC Miracle League Ride. Year after year, we continue to raise funds for our Miracle League Superstars,” she said. “I cannot thank the Saints MC (enough) for being the driving force behind the Miracle League Ride, and the biker community for continuing to support Cullman’s special needs community.”

The ride will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2023. It will start and end at the Saints MC Clubhouse at 141 Doc Clemmons Road, Cullman. The cost is $20 per bike, $5 per passenger. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m., with kickstands up at 10:45.
