Funeral service for Tommy “Bill” Barnette, age 79, of Cullman, will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Wayne Barnette officiating; interment in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Mr. Barnette passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Cullman Regional. He was born March 17, 1944, to John James Barnette and Clara Lois Barnette.
Bill was a faithful follower of his Lord and Savior. He was well known as a hardworking man who could fix anything. He was a doting father and grandfather who loved his family and loved taking care of all kinds of animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Howard Barnette and Cecil Dyer; and many other siblings.
He leaves behind his wife of 9 years, I. V. Barnette; children, Kim (Andy) Hooper, Shane (Kristi) Barnette, and Kelly (Nathan) Lee; grandchildren, Ainsley Grace Hooper, Ethan Barnette, Caleb (Chloe) Barnette, Noah Barnette, Samuel Lee, Kimberlyn Lee, Elijah Lee, Ruthie Lee, Elizabeth Lee, and Olivia Lee; brothers, James Barnette and L.T. Barnette; sisters, Joyce Brown, Faye Montgomery, Myra Jean Drake, Ann Smith, and Lowell Nix; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
