Bobby Joe Waldrip, age 89, lifelong resident of Cullman, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
Bobby was born in Bremen, Alabama on April 21, 1934 to Horace and Stella Morgan Waldrip. He was a graduate of Cold Springs High School and St. Bernard College, served in the US Army, was a member of Sharon Grove United Methodist Church, and was a longtime local businessman and partner in the Waldrip-Blocher Company.
He is preceded in death by his wife of sixty-four years, Ann Chatham Waldrip; sister, Jewel (Judy) Waldrip Graves; and his parents.
Survivors are his daughter, Susan Waldrip Dendy of Birmingham; son-in-law, Richard Riddick Dendy of Birmingham; and granddaughter, Lily Jordan Dendy of Boston, Massachusetts.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Moss Service Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow services in Shedd Cemetery in the Trimble community.
