Cora Lee Ola Pigg, 96, of Addison, passed away May 8, 2023 at her residence.
She was born May 22, 1926, in Addison, Alabama. Cora loved her family. She enjoyed doing yardwork, including taking care of her lawn and garden. Cora also loved talking on the phone to her friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison. An additional visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, with the funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Sardis Baptist Church #2 Cemetery. Brother Tim Box will officiate.
Cora is survived by her son, Craig Pigg and his wife Marsha; daughter, Vickey Andrews; granddaughter, Lana Hines and her husband Vance; grandson, Matthew Andrews; great granddaughters, Emmy and Elly Hines; sister, Betty Adams; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russ Pigg; parents, Ollie Wesley Maddox and Joanna Smothers Maddox; brothers, James Maddox, John Maddox, and Quinton Maddox; and sisters, Ellie Edmonson, Annabelle Johnson, Opal Blackwood, and Eva Laursen.
