CULLMAN, Ala. – Board-certified urologist Matthew Young, MD, has joined the Cullman Regional Medical Group.
Young is a recognized expert in robotic surgery, having been named a Surgeon of Excellence at a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery at Baptist Health Paducah by the Surgical Review Corporation in 2018. He also received the Thomas Alexander Kirkland Jr. Excellence Award in the Urology Department at the Medical University of South Carolina for two consecutive years (2011-2012, 2012-2013).
Young obtained his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, followed by his urology residency and general surgery internship at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
He specializes in treating a variety of urologic conditions, including kidney stones, benign prostatic hyperplasia, recurrent urinary tract infections, low testosterone, incontinence, erectile dysfunction, overactive bladder, prostate cancer, bladder cancer and kidney cancer.
