Mary Katherine “Kathy” Howard, 71, of Vinemont passed away on Sunday, Feb. 12, 20223 at her residence. She was born Jan. 4, 1952 in Ohio. Kathy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who would give the shirt off her back to someone in need. She loved singing church hymns.
She is survived by her husband, Ken Howard; children, Tracey Mahathy, Shawna Lackey, Melinda (Pat) Gay and Lance (Ashley) Howard; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Billy (Sue) Long, Brenda McCormick, Charlie (Sandy) Long, Marty (Debra) Long and Roger (Doris) Long and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Long Jr. and Hassie Speakman Long and a great grandchild, Benji.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 15, 20213 at 12 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home; with interment in Flint Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
