ARAB, Ala. – The Arabian Knights cruised past Albertville and Brewer on the road in the first two weeks to start the season 2-0 and they finally came home to host a regional matchup against Douglas. The kept the momentum rolling Friday night with a 40-7 win over the Eagles on their home field.

Neither team was able to find the end zone in the first quarter, but Arab got the second started with a scoring drive to take a 7-0 lead over the Eagles. The Knights stayed aggressive, recovering on onside kick to get the ball back and struck quickly to pull ahead 14-0 early in the second. Arab tacked on another touchdown in the final minutes of the half and went into the locker room leading Douglas 21-0 at the break.

The Knights continued to add to their lead in the third, scoring in just 21 seconds to make it a 27-0 game. Arab cruised for most of the second half, pulling ahead 40-0 at one point. Douglas was able to put six points on the board in the final seconds of the game to prevent the shutout, but it was too little, too late and the Knights improved to 3-0 with a 40-6 win over Douglas.

Arab will be back on the road next week for another regional battle against Sardis.
