Teddy Keith Raley, age 86 of Double Springs, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Hendrix Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born December 12, 1935, to Roy Edward and Coray Myrtle Raley. Teddy started to work for the United States Postal Service in the late 1950s as a letter carrier. In 1970, he became a Postal Inspector- a role he would serve in until his retirement in 1990. Teddy enjoyed traveling with his family and was a member of the Double Springs Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 20, 2022, from noon until 1 p.m. at Double Springs Church of Christ, where the service will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Sheffield, Alabama. Vance Hutton will officiate.
Teddy is survived by his son: Lowell Craig Raley of Haleyville; sister: Hazel Patton of Tuscumbia; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife: D. Earnestine Raley (1992); second wife: Geraldine Faye Raley (2011); parents: Roy and Myrtle Raley; and brother: David Raley.
