CULLMAN, Ala. – Karma’s Coffee House and its First Avenue neighbors Monograms Plus are partnering July 19 to host Bingo Night benefiting The Link of Cullman County. The two Warehouse District businesses will donate a portion of their sales from 4-6 p.m. that day to The Link as well.
Monograms Plus Owner Lynsey Todd shared, “The Link of Cullman County does a little bit of everything. They have a food pantry. They help with housing and people who are getting out of jail and are looking for some way where they can restart their life.
“They give them a place to live, food and help getting everything set up to where they can work again. They help with employment. They provide tutoring. They do a ton of things in our community. We’re hoping to raise big money for them.”
The bingo game is set to begin shortly after 6 p.m. at Karma’s, which will be offering wine, mocktails and charcuterie snacks.
Todd spoke of her love for the Warehouse District, which her business is set to leave in the future as her plans for the new Monograms Plus location at the old House of Shoes property one block west of Cullman Middle School have moved through the City of Cullman Planning Commission and Cullman City Council.
“This is such a great street to work on. We all try to partner together a lot of different times. (Karma’s Owner) Katie (Fine) and I are great partners. We’re right here next to each other and we’re both lovers of The Link, so we thought it would be great to try to do a fundraiser to raise some money for them. We’ve even talked about doing something in October for breast cancer Bingo and raising some money for that.”
Tickets for the Bingo Night are $40 and include wine or mocktail, snacks, six bingo cards and a door prize entry. Only 30 tickets were available when they went on sale, and they are going fast. To purchase a ticket, visit www.monogramsplusonline.com/bingo-night-ticket.html.
