Funeral service for Connie Sue Shadix Smith, age 84, of Cullman, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Josh Sellers officiating, and interment in Cullman City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Ms. Smith passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Cullman Regional. She was born March 16, 1938, to Reverend John D. and Hattie Theo Shadix.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Roy “Red” Shadix and Walter “Cotton” Shadix.
Survivors include her daughters: Teressa (Roy) Quick and Kellie Emerson; son: Alan (Tracey) Smith; grandchildren: Amber (Justin) Heaton, Slay Smith, Noah (Makenzie) Smith, Zane Emerson, Zeb Emerson and Zackery Emerson and great-grandchildren: Caleb Heaton, Natalie Heaton and Caseton Smith.
