Rickie Lynn Childers, 66, of Holly Pond, Alabama, passed away on March 10, 2022. He was born in Missouri, on October 15, 1955, to Norman and Margaret Chop Childers.
Mr. Childers adored his family, and he enjoyed any time spent with his children and grandchildren. He was full of mischief and enjoyed picking and playing with his family. Rickie was an avid Alabama fan—he loved a good Bama football game. He also enjoyed fishing and he loved watching the race. Mr. Childers enjoyed collecting things, especially knives and watches. Rickie was an important man to many people, and he will be greatly missed.
Rickie is preceded in death by his parents; a son: Rickie L Childers, Jr. and three siblings.
He is survived by his sons: Travis Childers, Rusty and Misty Childers and Scotty Childers; daughters: Christina Maddux, Angel and Tony “Bubba” Purser, Jr.: three siblings; grandchildren: Ashleigh and Thomas Lawler, Madison Childers and Sara, Bella Childers, Carma Purser, Skylah Harwood and Haven Purser; a great-grandchild: Addalyn Grace Lawler and several puppies.
Services for Mr. Childers are 12:00 p.m., Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Childers’ Cemetery.
