FAIRVIEW, Ala. – This season was a special one for the Fairview Aggies. The purple and gold posted a school-record 12 wins, scored a school-record 584 points and advanced to the 5A state semifinals for the first time in school history. The Alabama Football Coaches Association (ALFCA) saw how the season played out for the Aggies too and has selected Head Coach George Redding as this season’s Class 5A Coach of the Year. Redding also collected his 100th career win with Fairview’s 35-21 victory at Russellville in the second round of the state playoffs.

This season was Redding’s 15th as the head coach at his alma mater and in the last three seasons, he’s led the Aggies to a record of 31-7, averaging better than 10 wins per year and winning five playoff games in that stretch.
