CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office announced that approximately 100 people were in attendance at their joint celebration in honor of the Marine Corps birthday and Veterans Day.

This year marks the 246th anniversary of the establishment of the Marine Corps and the seventh year the Sheriff’s Office has celebrated the Marine Corps Birthday and Veterans Day with a luncheon.

“It is an honor and a privilege to have so many veterans with us,” Sheriff Matt Gentry said. “This is always one of the highlights of our year here at the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office. Everyone, especially our youth need to be reminded of all the sacrifices that have been made by so many. I would like to personally thank all of our veterans for their service and their sacrifice.”
