BLOUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Holly Pond made the trip to Blountsville for a region showdown with J.B. Pennington but unfortunately for the Bronco fans in the stands, the Tigers jumped out to an early lead over Holly Pond and continued to pull away until they had secured a 49-6 win over the Broncos.

J.B. Pennington built a 14-0 lead early in the first quarter, but the Broncos found the end zone to cut the lead to 14-6 going into the second quarter. However, the Tigers responded and tacked on two more touchdowns before the halftime break to make it a 27-6 game going into the third quarter.

J.B. Pennington stretched its lead to 41-6 going into the fourth quarter with another pair of scores in the third and the Tigers got on the board one more time in the final frame to defeat Holly Pond 49-6.

The Broncos drop to 2-2 on the season with the loss and will be back home next week to host a region matchup with Carbon Hill.
