CULLMAN, Ala. – United Way of Cullman is gearing up for its Day of Caring on Friday, Sept. 10. The annual Day of Caring event kicks-off each year’s United Way Campaign and presents a great opportunity for the community to come together and volunteer in support of the many United Way’s nonprofit partners.

United Way of Cullman Executive Director Becky Goff said of the event, “Day of Caring promotes the value of volunteerism and demonstrates that neighbors helping neighbors can create a positive change in the lives of children, families and seniors.”

It’s not too late to sign up to volunteer for a community project. To volunteer, as individuals or groups, visit https://forms.gle/oiMCF4jWWBA2jeFn9 or call 256-739-2948 for more information on community projects. There are more than 20 volunteer projects available for Day of Caring including: painting, mulching, organizing and sorting donations.

If you or your business prefer to remain socially distanced, the United Way of Cullman encourages holding supply drives or being a designated collection site. You can also support the efforts of the United Way by hosting a “Casual Day for the United Way” and proudly wearing your United Way T-shirt. Be sure to take a picture and share it on Facebook and Instagram under #dayofcaringuwcullman.
