CULLMAN, Ala. – After opening their doors in Cullman nearly six years ago, the Signature Smiles of Cullman dentistry office is expanding to a new facility. Located at 1754 Warnke Circle NE (behind the Surgery Center on Hwy 157), owners Lindsey Marshall, DMD, and Katherine Stidham, DMD say that the new facility will be larger and have more parking spaces in order to accommodate more patients.

Both Dr. Marshall and Dr. Stidham are Cullman natives who studied at the UAB School of Dentistry and have been in practice since 2011. Dr. Stidham graduated from Fairview High School and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, while Dr. Marshall graduated from Cullman High School and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Birmingham-Southern College before attending UAB. The opening of the Signature Smiles practice was considered “a dream come true” for the pair.

When asked what stood out about the new facility, both doctors were excited to talk about the increased size, larger waiting room and increased number of parking spaces. Additionally, Dr. Stidham was happy to talk about the calming and relaxing atmosphere of the new waiting room. “It feels like it could be someone’s home. We wanted patients to feel at ease walking into our office, and I am excited that it still feels relaxing and welcoming,” she stated. She also expressed gratitude toward the community and the support they received, saying, “We were thrilled to have the overwhelming support of our community since opening Signature Smiles of Cullman. The increased space will allow us to better serve our community in a provide a beautiful facility that our patients and staff deserve.”

To achieve the aspects they wanted without worrying about renovating an existing building, Stidham and Marshall made the decision to build the new facility from scratch instead of moving into an existing building. “We realized about a year ago that our previous facility was not going to be able to allow us to accommodate our desired patient load. We believed that by building a new facility from the ground up that we could create a space that embodied all the aspects we believed were important to both us and our patients,” Marshall said. “In general, we tried to envision and build a facility that will serve a patient’s dental needs while creating a sense of warmth and calm.”
