Obituary: Joseph Ike Walker

Mr. Joseph Ike Walker passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the age of 73. He was born October 25, 1947. Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents (William Walker & Velino (Pat) Smith), his brother (Bill Walker), his son (Tyler Walker), and his granddaughter (Brooklyn Walker). Survivors include two daughters, Kristi Walker, Wendy Smithson (DJ); 6 grandchildren, Kaylie Schiavi (Bobby), Easton and Skylyn Walker, Addie & Walker Smithson, & Olivia Johnson; one great grandson; Bo Schiavi.

Mr. Walker ran a successful business the majority of his life. He was a native of Anniston, AL, prior to moving to Cullman, where he opened the first foreign car repair service in 1976. He enjoyed flying his airplane, riding his motorcycle, and running his snackbar boat (Snackers on the Water). Mr. Walker lived his life to the fullest. He loved and enjoyed his family, and his family loved and enjoyed him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and close friends. In lieu of money or flowers, the family simply asks for those who will, to write or type a letter of a funny memory or a meaningful story you have of Mr. Walker.
