Graveside services for Byron H. Smith of Hanceville will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021 at Riverside Cemetery in Hanceville.
Mr. Smith was born in Birmingham, Alabama Jan. 13, 1987 to Berney and Donna Smith. He died unexpectedly at the age of 34 Feb. 9, 2021.
Byron was an amazing individual who would go above and beyond for anyone in need. Mr. Smith had a heart felt passion for teaching children and loved his colleagues just as much. Above all, he loved his wife and daughters. He will be deeply missed by his entire family, friends, co-workers and students.
Survivors include his wife Meg Smith; daughters Amelia and Callan Smith; a niece Oaklee Chambers; his sister Ronda Chambers; parents Berney and Donna Smith; grandmothers Ruth Smith and Mable Eddy; and mother-in-law Nan Slaven.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his grandfathers Bobby Smith and Fritz Eddy; first cousin Jonathan Walls; father-in-law Tim Slaven; and brother-in-law Damon Chambers.
