Visitation for Herlin Calvert, 81, of Bremen will be from 10 a.m.-noon Friday, Jan. 22, 2021 at Hanceville Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Persimmon Grove Church of Christ.
Mr. Calvert passed away Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Jan. 29, 1939 to the late Mancle and Vannie Rae Calvert.
Herlin was a loving brother, father, and grandfather. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965. This sparked his interest in flying and airplanes. He worked most of his life as an electrician. He enjoyed gardening, photography, cruising, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Janice Calvert, his parents, and his brother and sister-in-law Cleon and Kathryn Calvert.
Survivors include his sons Brian (Heather) Calvert and Darrin (Jackie) Calvert; grandchildren Blake (Blair) Calvert, Morgan Calvert, Clara Johnson, Keira Calvert, and Miles Calvert; brother Eulane (Dian) Calvert; step-children Melroy Grant, Jodi Grant, and Chanda Gonzalez; and host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Pallbearers are Caleb Anders, Heath Attaway, Howard Calvert, Mark Calvert, Shane Kilgo, and Tim White.
