CULLMAN, Ala. – Get started on some holiday shopping this weekend at the St. Paul’s Lutheran School Fall Flea Market. The market will be open rain or shine with booths outside in the north parking lot and inside the school’s gymnasium. The market opens at 8 a.m. and will continue until 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7.

More than 30 vendor booths are expected at the event. Church members as well as local artisans and businesses are registered. Also making an early appearance- Santa Claus! From 9 a.m.-noon, St. Nick will be on stage in the gymnasium and adhering to social distancing guidelines. Masks are encouraged and hand sanitizing stations will be available.

“We are following all guidelines in place by the governor. When you are going to be in close proximity like that, we encourage the masks and already have signs up about social distancing,” Emily Trahan with St. Paul’s said. There will be no access to the classrooms.

Trahan said in a press release, “There will be a great array of booths to shop from with items ranging from antiques to household items, rugs to dried flower wreaths, and more! We are very happy to host pop up shops for Sips N Strokes, Dixie Duds & Decor and Borden Family Pharmacy!” Other vendors will have handmade jewelry, leather goods and party supplies.

Concessions will also be available with Jack’s biscuits served for breakfast and Jack’s burgers and cheeseburgers for lunch. Chips, sodas, cider and other goodies will be available.

Trahan also encourage all St. Paul’s alumni to join the alumni group’s Facebook page. She said, “It’s a great way to stay in touch with the events we have coming up.”
