ARLEY, Ala. – The Tigers of Meek returned home this week after suffering a tough loss on the road to Brilliant last week, and Friday night’s meeting with South Lamar resulted in another loss for the Tigers. The Stallions built an early lead and Meek was unable to recover, falling at home 30-16.

South Lamar scored almost as soon as the game began to take an early 8-0 lead, but the Tigers responded with a score of their own to knot things up at 8 apiece in the opening period. The Stallions got on the board again to go ahead 16-8 early in the second quarter and found the end zone two more times before the half to pull ahead 30-8 at the break.

That score held for the third quarter, but Meek was able put points on the board one more time in the fourth quarter to cut the lead to 30-16. Unfortunately, that was all the damage the Tigers could do, and they fell to South Lamar 30-16 at home to fall to 0-4 on the season.

Meek is still looking for its first win of the season and will have another opportunity next week when Hubbertville comes to town.
