Abandoned house burns near south Wal-Mart

CULLMAN, Ala. – An abandoned house along Olive Street Southwest just east of Wal-Mart burned Tuesday afternoon. No injuries were reported.

Cullman Fire Rescue Chief Brian Bradberry said his department received the call at approximately 2:20 p.m.

“It was fully involved on arrival,” said Bradberry. “It was a total loss when we got here.”

Bradberry said there were no injuries.  

“We’re just trying to get it put out and be safe in this heat,” he said.

Fire Marshal Chris Chaffin was at the scene. There is no word yet on the cause of the blaze.
