CULLMAN, Ala. – While the popular 4th of July events at Smith Lake Park and Lake Guntersville were canceled this year due to COVID-19, there are still a few places around and near Cullman County to enjoy some fireworks with family and friends.

Friday, July 3

Fireworks Spectacular Presented by Spring Valley Beach and the Town of Blountsville

9 p.m. at Spring Valley Beach, 2340 County Highway 55, Blountsville, Alabama 35031. This is a free event. You will not be allowed in the park to watch the show. You can view the show from the free parking lot or from areas in town. Tune into Oneonta’s WCRL 95.3 for patriotic music during the show.

Saturday, July 4

Fireworks over Cullman

9 p.m. at Heritage Park

Hosted by the City of Cullman and sponsored by Cullman Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism

The show will be set to music that will be broadcast on WKUL FM 92.1.

This is a drive-in event only.

The fireworks will be able to be seen throughout the city of Cullman.

 

4th of July Celebration in Good Hope

Begins at dark at Good Hope Municipal Park

Hosted by Branded by Christ Cowboy Church and sponsored by the City of Good Hope

This is a drive-in event. Guests are encouraged to stay in their vehicles and reminded to maintain proper social distancing.

 

19th Annual Freedom Celebration in Fairview

8 p.m. at Randall Shedd Community Park; fireworks begin at 9 p.m.

Sponsors include First Baptist Church of Fairview, Merchant’s Bank, Walker Brothers, Brindley Mountain Barbecue, Welcome Baptist Church and Fairview Superette.

There will be music, devotions and promotions broadcast of 102.9 FM.

Guests are asked to stay in or near their vehicles to listen to the radio and to maintain safe social distancing.

 

Addison Fireworks

9 p.m. between the Addison football and baseball fields

Sponsored by the Town of Addison.

Guests are encouraged to watch from their vehicles or remain in family groups and maintain 6-foot social distancing.

 

CRUSA Modified Sportsman with Fireworks at ECM Speedway

4-11:55 p.m. at 1546 County Road 6, Bremen, Alabama 35033

Up for grabs: $1,000 1st place, $500 2nd place, $300 3rd place, $100 to start in Crate Racin USA Modified Sportsman Division. All 6 divisions will be in the valley for a night of fireworks and dirt track racing at its best.

Pit Gate $35 12 and older, $15 5-11

Grandstands $15 12 and older, $5 5-11

 

Thunder on the Mountain

5 p.m. at Mtn. Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1707 County Road 573, Hanceville, Alabama 35077

Hamburgers and hotdogs, homemade ice cream and watermelon and other goodies; the grand finale will be a fireworks display.

 

4th of July Family Fun & Firework Bash

5 p.m. at Lonesome Dove Cowboy Church, 200 County Road 1699, Cullman, Alabama 35058

Lots of games, arena fun, ice cream and food; fireworks start at dark.

 

Fireworks for Freedom

8:45 p.m. at River Rocks Plantation Resort, 3316 Hardin Road, Guntersville, Alabama 35976

Parking at Bucky Howe Park or come by boat. Please be courteous and exercise social distancing guidelines.

 

4th of July Fireworks on Rock Creek at The Patio at Smith Lake

8:45 p.m. at The Patio at Smith Lake, 217 County Road 220, Arley, Alabama 35053

Sponsored by Triple Creek Marina- Everyone welcome- Bring chair/quilt- Excited to see the boats arrive in Triple Creek area near Bailey Bridge (Put your boat in at Triple Creek Marina, 1512 County Road 4022, Arley).
