COLONY, ALA. – Colony residents: your town government wants you to complete your 2020 Census, and the town council might give you a television for doing so. On Tuesday evening, Mayor Donnis Leeth and council members showed off a brand-new Samsung NU6900 50-inch ultra-high definition smart TV received through a grant made to the Cullman Economic Development Agency to promote census participation.
To be eligible to win, you must live in Colony and must complete your census form. To take the census online, or for more information on other ways, visit https://2020census.gov. Mayor Leeth and Councilwoman Ethel Alexander have been going door to door, and can help you in person, if needed. Call Colony Town Hall at 256-287-1192.
Colony’s census response rate currently stands at 57.4%.
