Doyle Jean Fithian, 77, of Holly Pond passed away Friday, Jan. 24, 2020 at his home. He was born Oct. 27, 1942 in Gideon, MO. to Jean Leon and Alice Glissen Fithian.
Mr. Fithian was a member of New Hope # 2 Baptist Church. He was retired from the U.S. Army as a Master Sergeant after 28 years of service, where he served as First Sergeant of the Military Police.
Mr. Fithian is preceded in death by his parents Jean Leon and Alice Glissen Fithian: his wife of 50 years Martha Sue Fithian: his sister Alice Faye Young: and his brother Jack Fithian.
Mr. Fithian is survived by sons Doug Fithian and Robert Fithian (Laura); daughter Rhonda Clark (Roger); brothers James Fithian, Gary Fithian (Shirley), Albert Fithian (Denise), and Clark Fithian (Judy); sister Judy Dotson (Danny); and grandchildren Brandon Fithian, Justin Smith, Dustin Harbin, Jessica Smith, Brileigh Bone and Lily Fithian.
Funeral services for Doyle are at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020 in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, Patrick Morton officiating. Mr. Fithian will be buried alongside his wife in New Hope # 2 Cemetery following services with full military honors. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Fithian, Robert Fithian, Justin Smith, Roger Clark, Michael Adams, Matt Thomas and Kelly Brown.
Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020 from noon until services begin.
