CULLMAN, Ala. – A two-car wreck involving an SUV and a Cullman Police Department vehicle early Wednesday evening resulted in minor injuries to the police officer.
CPD Sgt. Joey Duncan said the police officer was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 31 and a Chevrolet Equinox, driver not identified, was traveling westbound on Seventh Street Southwest. The vehicles collided inside the intersection.
Duncan said the police officer was traveling with his lights and sirens on en route to a civil disturbance call when the wreck happened.
The driver of the Chevrolet was not injured. The police officer was treated at Cullman Regional for minor injuries.
