Sportsman Lake Park Winter Wonderland

5-9:30 p.m. Guests can drive through the park or park and experience the extra attractions including train rides, carriage rides and sleigh rides. Parents can take pictures of their kids with Santa or purchase a 5×7 photo in a souvenir frame for $5. The cost is $10 (cash only) per vehicle, regardless of how many people are in it.

West Point Theatre Christmas Concert

Thursday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m.

Admission is $5.

A cake auction will also be held during the event.


Cullman City Schools Band Program Christmas Concert

Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Cullman High School auditorium.

This free concert will feature the Cullman Beginning Band, CMS Advanced Band, CHS Concert/Symphonic Band and the CHS Jazz Band.

Free admission.

Cards in The Park Display (Dec. 7-31), Governor’s Park in Holly Pond

On Dec. 14, Luminaries will be lit at 5 p.m., Christmas Carols at 5:30 and Santa at 6

Sponsored by the Town of Holly Pond in coordination with the Holly Pond Civitan Club. Refreshments will be served in the newly renovated Holly Pond Town Hall.


“Elf: The Musical”

Presented by Cullman Performing Arts in the Cullman High School auditorium

Christmas at the Library!

Saturday, Dec. 14 at 11 a.m. at the Guy Hunt Library and Museum in Holly Pond

Come to the library for some Christmas fun. Mrs. Easterwood will sing her favorite Christmas songs. The children can make ornaments and arts and crafts. Come and have fun with your family!


Free Christmas Wagon Rides at The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament

See the tranquil grounds of the Shrine from a wagon drawn by genuine draft horses.

Rides will be offered from Dec. 14-28. To reserve a ride, contact the Shrine at 256-787-4121. The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament is located at 3224 County Road 548, Hanceville, AL 35077.

Rides will be available on the following dates:

  • Dec. 14 from 10-11:30 a.m. and 1-5 p.m.
  • Dec. 16-20 from 1-5 p.m.
  • Dec. 21 (Part of the Shrine’s Christmas Open House) from 10-11:30 a.m. and 1-7 p.m.
  • Dec. 23 from 1-5 p.m.
  • Dec. 27 from 1-5 p.m.
  • Dec. 28 from 10-11:30 a.m. and 1-5 p.m.

There will be no rides on Dec. 15, 22 or 24-26.

Good Hope Christmas Parade and Christmas in the Park 

Dec. 14 at 2 p.m.

Christmas Parade begins at 2 p.m. at Good Hope High School and will go to Good Hope Municipal Park.

Following the parade, we will have Christmas in the Park. Free food while it lasts. Free pictures with Santa (you may bring your own camera). Hayrides, Christmas craft for kids and train rides.


10th Annual Baileyton Christmas Party at the Senior Center 

The Baileyton Christmas Party is planned for Saturday, Dec. 14 from 5-7 p.m. The 10th annual event will be a night of fun, fellowship and food. Santa will stop by for pictures with the kids. Hamburgers, hot dogs and other goodies will be served. Guests will receive bags of fruit to take home. The council hopes everyone will come out to celebrate Christmas.

Deck the Stalls at Hope Horses

Join us Saturday, Dec. 14 from 5-9 p.m.

Price is $5 per child.

Fairview Lions Club Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting

Dec 14 at Randall Shedd Community Park in Fairview- The parade will start lining up at the turnaround by the school at 4:30 p.m. and the parade will start at 5. Fire trucks are welcome in the parade. When the parade is over, at the park we will light the Christmas tree and have Christmas carols, a reading of The Christmas Story and Santa will be there! We will have free hot chocolate and cookies. Bring the kids out and join us. Anyone wanting to join the parade just be at the turnaround by 4:30. We hope to see you there! For questions or more info, contact Felicia Bailey at 256-735-8722.


Fairview Bands and Theatre 2nd Annual Scenes and Songs Christmas Show

Sunday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. at Fairview High School

FHS Theatre will perform “Junie B. Jones: Jingle Bells, Batman Smells” and the Fairview Beginner Band, FMS Band, Percussion Ensemble and FHS Band will perform “Selections for the Season.”

Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students, K-12.

Popcorn, nachos and soft drinks will be served, included in the price of admission.


Cullman Community Band Christmas Concert

7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16 at First Baptist Church Cullman. The concert is free and will present a wide variety of seasonal selections including a vocal trio arrangement of “Silent Night,” band with organ accompaniment on some selections, and antiphonal brass proclaiming the joy of the Christmas celebration. The Cullman Community Band Christmas Concert has become one of the highlights of the season. The band, composed of over 70 members, is directed by Mr. Garry Taylor.


Christmas at The Grotto

Dec. 20-22, 5-9 p.m.

Come celebrate the Christmas season at Ave Maria Grotto!

Experience the Grotto Park decorated for Christmas and enjoy Bro Joseph’s magnificent art with your family and friends! Coffee and cookies will be available. Johnny’s Bar-B-Q will have a food truck on Saturday evening. Bring your family and friends and be blessed at this most special time of year!
