Agriplex kicks off Nov/Dec events with Turkey Time

All events take place at the North Alabama Agriplex, 1714 Talley Ho St., Cullman, AL 35056, 256-297-1044, unless otherwise noted.

Nov. 2Farm Kids Club- Turkey Time – 9-10:30 a.m.

Gobble, gobble!  Come see this magnificent bird up close and learn all about this American icon.  $5 per child, $10 per family.

Nov. 5- Living Landscapes- Horses – 6 p.m.

Singing Cowboy Morrow Doss will cover the basics of raising horses, from pedigree and gaits to feeding and riding. $5 per person.

Nov. 7- Heritage Skills- Essential Oil Basics – 6 p.m.

Learn what essential oils are and how to use them to make your home healthier. Make a product to take home using essential oils. $15 per person.

Nov. 8- Little Farmers- The Green Tractor – 10-11 a.m.

Who do you think of when you see a green tractor?  John Deere, that’s who! We will discover the history of John Deere and his tractor. $5 per child, $10 per family.

Nov. 14- Heritage Homeschool- Soybeans – 9-11 a.m.

George Washington Carver graces our studies once again as we continue learning about historical commodities and their uses.  Our focus will be soybeans. $8 per child, $16 per family.

Dec. 3- Heritage Skills- Herbs for the Holidays – 6 p.m.

Herbs have been a part of the holiday celebrations for over 2,000 years.  Join former American Herb Society president Debbie Boutleier in learning to make herbal products for your home or to give away.  Included with $25 fee is a booklet with recipes and directions along with tastings of herbal holiday treats.

Dec. 07- Farm Kids Club- Holiday Crafts- 9-10:30 a.m.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and we are using nature’s bounty to decorate!  Make and take holiday projects. $10 per child, $20 family maximum.

Dec. 7- Living Landscapes- Grapevine Wreaths- 6 p.m.

Make a grapevine wreath to reuse and decorate it with our beautiful native evergreens.  $10 per person.

Dec. 12- Heritage Homeschool- Happy Birthday Alabama! – 9-11 a.m.

Let’s celebrate Alabama’s birthday while learning about our state history. $8 per child, $16 per family.

Dec. 13- Little Farmers- Winter Celebration- 10-11 a.m.

Nature crafts and holiday food will warm our Little Farmers as we prepare for the shortest day of the year! $5 per child, $10 per family.
