CULLMAN, Ala. – Only a handful of tickets remain for the upcoming United Way of Cullman County (UWCC) Women United Designer Bag Bingo event at Loft 212. This special ladies’ night will feature food, bingo, the most popular designer handbags, raffle prizes and much more and will raise money for the UWCC’s partner agencies.
Almost 300 tickets have already been sold for this first of its kind event in Cullman.
UWCC Public Relations Manager Michele Dingler said, “We are so excited. We cannot believe the numbers. It has really taken off, so we are very excited.”
The few tickets still remaining can be purchased at the UWCC office at 304 First Ave. NE. Designer Handbag Bingo is Tuesday, Nov. 5 from 5-9 p.m. Doors will open at 5, with bingo staring at 6 at Loft 212, located at 212 Fourth St. SE in Cullman.
Tickets are $25 and include light appetizers,15 bingo cards (one for each game) and dauber. Additional bingo cards will be available for purchase. There are 14 bags and one grand prize that will go to the lucky winners. The handbags are from designers including Michel Kors, Kate Spade, Coach, HOBO, Dooney & Bourke, Brahmin and Vera Bradley. The grand prize is a surprise.
“If you donate a used handbag you get entered into a raffle,” said Dingler. “We ask that you fill those handbags with personal hygiene products so the ladies at Victim’s Services (of Cullman, Inc.) can have those. It’s a great way to have fun and give back.”
During the breaks between bingo games, raffle tickets will be drawn for items donated by area businesses.
Dingler said, “It’s going to be a wonderful time, and it’s all going to a really great cause.”
