2nd Annual Hannah Bates Memorial Fishing Tournament

Registration will begin at 5:30 Saturday morning at the Smith Lake boat launch and the tournament will officially kick off at 6:30. Winners will be determined at the weigh-in starting at 1 p.m


2nd Annual Turkey Shoot – Hosted by Garrison Gives Hope

Saturday, Oct. 26 from 7 a.m.-noon

Come out for our second annual turkey shoot benefiting Garrison Gives Hope and The Stephen K. Griffith Memorial Fund. The annual turkey shoot helps raise mental health awareness and fill the gap in mental health services in our community. Shotgun shells and breakfast will be provided.

Welti Cumberland Presbyterian Church Annual Fall Bazaar

Saturday, Oct. 26, 7 a.m.-1 p.m.

Welti Cumberland Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 8817 County Road 747

Breakfast is $6 and lunch $6. Baked goods, homemade soup, chili, fried pies, arts and crafts and white elephant items will be available. Buy now and freeze for the holidays. Tickets available for two Amish rockers to be given away and are $1 each or six for $5. Proceeds benefit the women’s ministries missions and projects. Parkside’s 11th Annual Pumpkin Run 5K

Saturday, Oct. 26, 9-11 a.m. at Parkside School, 12431 Alabama Highway 69 N, Baileyton, AL 35019

Come back to Hogwarts and join us for the Pumpkin Run 5K, presented by Doctor’s Diet of Cullman!

Parkside School will be hosting our 11th annual race – The Pumpkin Run – Oct. 26, 2019, at 9 a.m. This will be a fun 5K run through Baileyton, beginning at the school and ending at the park. All ages and experience groups are invited. Childcare will be provided at no cost for parents who wish to participate in the 5K. Don’t like to run? Walkers are welcome! Want to sleep in? You can buy a T-shirt and we’ll hold it for you at the school or mail it to you after the race.

Feel free to wear your best Hogwarts, Harry Potter or Halloween gear!

Margot Tanner Book Signing

2-4 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Cullman, 320 Third St. SE

Join longtime Cullman resident and Friends of Frankweiler member Margot Tanner as she introduces and signs her new book, “GOD IS ALL: Stories from the Life of a German World War II Survivor.”


Hymn Festival with Benjamin A. Kolodziej

Join us for a celebration of hymns and music! The Hymn Festival will take place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church the afternoon of Saturday, Oct. 26, at 4 p.m. as part of Reformation weekend. Our theme is “Sola Fide: Faith of the Ages.”

Guest organist Benjamin Kolodziej has performed organ concerts and at hymn festivals across the United States and around the world. Kolodziej holds degrees in organ performance, sacred music, and theology. A member of Faith Lutheran Church in Plano, he is also the organist and choirmaster of St. John’s Episcopal in Dallas, TX, as well as the organist for Perkins Chapel at Southern Methodist University.

Garden City Congregational Church Trunk-or-Treat

Come join us as we bring the Halloween fun back to Garden City, Alabama. We are excited to have our inaugural trunk-or-treat. Ghosts and ghouls, come on out for candy, food, fun and fellowship. We will have: Costume contest for the kids, music, free hot dogs and drinks, lots of candy to be given out. We will have a Hanceville Police cruiser for the kiddos.

Special Needs Free Swim at the Aquatic Center

3-5 p.m. at the Cullman Wellness & Aquatic Center- Free Swim Hosted by Cullman Parks, Recreation and Sports Tourism

Free swim is for those with special needs and immediate family members. All guests must sign in at the CWAC front desk before entering the pool. Parents/guardians/caregivers must stay in the pool area at all times during the therapeutic recreation swim time.
