Glenn J. Weeks was born Sept. 12, 1938 in Cullman County, Alabama to the late William and Ludie Purdy Weeks, and passed away September 28, 2019 in Cullman. Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1 at the Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Paul Campbell officiating and interment following at Fairview West Cemetery. Glenn’s family will receive friends Monday evening beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Glenn was a long-time employee of the City of Hanceville. Survivors include his wife, Marie Weeks, children; Nekita (Michael) Brown and Tina Weeks, grandchildren; April Brown and Clyde Michael “Hossy” Brown Jr.; great-grandchildren Carmen Elrod, McKenzie Smith and Colson Brown; and one great-great-grandchild, Aslynn Roberson. He is preceded in death by brothers G.V., Herschel & Henry “Junior” Weeks and sisters Lynell, Lucille, Susie & Ann.
