BREMEN, Ala. – This year’s Kudzu Hills Invitational is in the books and after a special presentation in which the course was dedicated in honor of former Cold Springs Cross-Country Coach Claborn Campbell, the 1A-3A Girls race officially kicked things off. As usual, Holly Pond’s Camilla Chambers was the first one to cross the line with a time of 20:03.89 and took home first place in the small schools division. On the boy’s side, St. Bernard’s Caleb Guthery finished first in the small schools division with a time of 17:20.81 and in the large schools division, Cullman’s Will Thompson was the winner after running a 16:15.60.

As a team, the Cold Springs Eagles captured this year’s small school crown and both the Bearcats and Lady Bearcats took home large school titles. The Cold Springs Lady Eagles placed second, just two points behind J.B. Pennington and St. Bernard’s boys finished just five points behind Cold Springs to take second as well. St. Bernard and Holly Pond placed third and fourth respectively in the girl’s division and Holly Pond’s boys took fourth place to finish in the top five as well.
