CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman County Animal Shelter Volunteer Donna Ruttkay introduces The Cullman Tribune (Bonus) Pet of the Week:

Lily is a 2-year-old boxer mix who was surrendered by her owner who can no longer care for her. She’s a lively medium- to high-energy pet who’s not fond of shelter life. She enjoys the shelter’s large yard and craves opportunities to exercise in the fresh air.

Being an outdoor kind of pooch, Lily has the makings of a great walking/hiking or companion pet for an active person or family.

Discount doggie!

Lily was already spayed when her owner surrendered her, so her adoption fee will be greatly reduced. Check with shelter staff for details and exact cost.

Animal shelter staff and volunteers work with their dogs to make sure they are accustomed to being around people, walking on a leash and practicing good behavior. Several of the shelter’s dogs have even been “hired” to work as therapy and special needs service dogs.

Please consider adopting, to give a rescued pet a chance at a happy and healthy life.

Contact the Cullman County Animal Shelter at 256-734-5448 or cullmancountyanimalshelter@gmail.com. Visit the shelter at 935 Convent Road NE.
