BLOUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Hanceville no doubt had revenge on its mind when it traveled to face J.B. Pennington Friday night and came home with a 28-0 region win. The Tigers handled the Bulldogs 71-8 a season ago, but Hanceville flipped the script this time around.

The Bulldogs took an early 6-0 lead when Bo Joles scored from 2 yards out in the first quarter but neither team was able to get on the scoreboard the rest of the opening half, making it a 6-0 game at the break.

Hanceville capped off a long touchdown drive midway through the third quarter when Zack Campbell tucked one and ran it in from 40 yards out to extend the Bulldogs lead to 14-0. The defense continued to be stingy for Hanceville, keeping the Tigers out of the end zone for the rest of the quarter.

The Bulldogs began to put the game out of reach early in the fourth quarter when Brodie Malcom scored on a 27-yard touchdown run with just under 11 minutes to play to go up 22-0 and Tai Edwards scored from 3-yards out to make it 28-0 and officially put the game out of reach for J.B. Pennington.

The Bulldogs are definitely happy to collect this region win and will try keep riding this momentum when they travel to Holly Pond next week.
