FAIRVIEW, Ala. – Plans for a new restaurant are underway in Fairview. Residents Mike and Amy Patton presented their concept for a Taco Granero Tuesday evening to the town’s council. The Pattons will rent the property at the corner of Welcome Road and Wesley Avenue. The entrance to the drive through will be on Welcome Road and the exit on Wesley Avenue.

“It’s a drive-through option for the people of the community, where we’re going to offer fast, affordable food options,” said Mike Patton. “We know a lot of people enjoy Mexican food and so we just want to bring that to Fairview.”

He continued, “Our target customers are anyone who enjoys tacos! From the young person who has the after-school munchies to the busy mom who doesn’t have time to take the kids to soccer practice and make dinner and even the hardworking construction crews who want to dine at our pavilion for a quick lunch and get back to it. We have something for everyone!”

Taco Granero will also have a walk-up window, outside seating and public restrooms.

The menu will feature crunchy tacos (beef, chicken, pork), soft tacos (beef, chicken, pork), burritos (beef, chicken, pork), hot dogs (taco dog, diablo dog, regular), nachos (cheese, beef, chicken, pork), chips and salsa, bowl of chili (seasonal), drinks (Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Diet Sprite and water) and desserts (Choc Taco and scooped vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream in cone or cup).

Patton said business hours will be flexible to accommodate community events, but normal hours of operation will be Monday-Thursday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. and Friday-Saturday 11 a.m.-10 p.m.

Construction is set to begin Oct. 1.

Said Patton, “During construction we would like to begin marketing with a sign on the property sparking interest in our great town!”
