CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) on Monday arrested Bryon Kyle Hudson, 46, of Jasper in connection in connection with a theft at a local business. At the time of the arrest, Hudson allegedly had methamphetamine and heron in his possession.

Hudson’s photo was published on CCSO social media accounts early Monday, and he was identified shortly after numerous tips were received. Later in the day, the business where the theft occurred contacted the CCSO saying they believed Hudson was at their business once again.

“With a little divine intervention or just good luck the investigator was less than one minute away from the business and arrived before the suspect, Mr. Hudson, was able to leave,” said a press release from the CCSO.

Hudson was placed under arrest and after speaking with deputies and investigators, he allegedly admitted to also having the methamphetamine and heroin in his possession.

“This suspect had just stolen from this business and had come back, all the way from Jasper, to the scene of the crime to steal again. This is why no one likes a thief. It also appears he is stealing to support his drug habit, which unfortunately is very common,” said Sheriff Matt Gentry. “This is a prime example of deputies and investigators working together when we get tips from our citizens and also our businesses to identify suspects and get them arrested. I would like to also thank everyone for their tips and the deputies and investigators for their quick work on this case.”

Hudson has been charged with third-degree theft of property and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. The CCSO said other charges may be pending.

Hudson has made bond.
