FAIRVIEW, Ala. – Saturday morning, classic car owners and enthusiasts around north Alabama came together to raise money for the Fairview High School marching band at the band’s 5th Annual All Wheel Show & Festival.
Along with viewing the cars, trucks and motorcycles on display, visitors enjoyed live music from Jesse Priest Music, tackled the National Guard rock climbing wall, perused craft vendors from all around Cullman County and shopped from food vendors from around north Alabama.
Since its debut, the show has benefited the band by raising funds for new uniforms, instrument repairs and equipment, and this year was no different. Band Booster Michelle Watwood, who organized the event, said that she hoped this year would raise enough money to repair (or possibly even replace) music stands, drum equipment and instruments like tubas and sousaphones that are more than 20 years old.
Ultimately, the show featured 50 different vehicles and raised roughly $3,000.
