Addison set for annual 4th of July celebration

ADDISON, Ala. – The annual Independence Day celebration in Addison kicks off Thursday, July 4 at 10 a.m. Several activities are planned throughout the day. The festivities begin with a parade to go through the town at 10 a.m. 

Following the parade, event goers will enjoy the a variety of music from the stage at Alexander Park. Alexander Park is located at CR 41 Addison, Alabama 35540. Following all the performances a large fireworks display is planned to begin promptly at 9 p.m.

The Addison Volunteer Fire Department is encouraging everyone brings their lawn chairs so you will be able to sit down, relax, and see the fireworks! 

The Bands to take the stage throughout the day are as follows: 

2 p.m. – Hickory Alter 

3 p.m. – Bama Blue Grace 

4 p.m. – Lost Creek 

5 p.m. – Julie Preuitt Nix and Shelby Z. 

6 p.m. – Judge Talford Band 

7:30 p.m. – Handshake Promise
