Bernice Mae Pratt-White, 90, of Arley, entered into rest Saturday, June 15, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Bernice was born June 28, 1928 to Elva and Thurman Pratt. She was a longtime member of Sebring Baptist Church. Bernice enjoyed vegetable, fruit, and flower gardening. She was a loving, strong, independent woman- and most of all a wonderful mother who was the rock of her family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from noon until 2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where the service will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Addison. Pastor Chris Godfrey and Reverend Robert Guthrie will officiate the service.
She is survived by her sons, Mike (Garnett) White, Steve (Geri) White, Phillip (Gayle) White; daughter, Millie (Wilson) Privett; sister, Betty Elkins; “Grandma” to 14 grandchildren, Debbie Privett-Roberts, Cynthia Privett-Ruth, Kenny Privett, Clint White, Robbie White, Kim Murner, Melissa Watson, Stephanie Tomaselli, Jessie White, Dalton White, Tracy White, Michelle White, Michael White, and Ally White; 33 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Cummings; daughter, Gilda Privett; granddaughters, Tammy Gibson, Stevie White, and Tisha White; sister, Bonda Robinson; brother, Travis Pratt; and parents.
