WEST POINT, Ala. – A Lawrence County man was killed Thursday morning in a single-vehicle wreck along Alabama Highway 157 in West Point.
Cullman County Coroner Jeremy L. Kilpatrick identified the victim as Timothy Dennis Blasingame, 45, of Hillsboro, Alabama. He said the wreck happened around 7 a.m. in the 12000 block of Hwy. 157.
Blasingame was killed when the 2006 Sterling dump truck he was driving left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Blasingame, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
