Obituary: Edna Imogene “Jean” Puckett Alexander

Edna Imogene “Jean” Puckett Alexander of Cullman passed away on March 24, 2019 at the age of 83. She was born in Vinemont Nov. 3, 1935 to Sidney “Sid” and Sara Edna Davis Puckett. She is preceded in death by her husband Ferrell D. Alexander.

Jean was a Christian and a devoted member of Valley Springs Baptist Church for 60 years. Her pride and joy was her family. She loved to volunteer when her children were young at Good Hope School. She helped at the Valley Grove Community Center. She worked at the Cullman County Board of Registrar's Office for 15 years. She was a member of the Cullman County Democratic Party, and she volunteered for the Loretta Fire Department and established the Valley Grove Neighborhood Watch. She was also a member of the Cullman County Cattlewomen, she also served on board for Hospice of Cullman County.

Funeral services are Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Guthery officiating. Interment will be in Cullman Memory Gardens.

Survivors are: daughter Connie (Kelley) Baker of Cullman, son Chris (Nancy) Alexander of Auburn, AL, sister Rachel Ross of Miramar Beach, FL, brothers Eugene (Libby) Puckett of Cullman, Windel (Sandy) Puckett of Cullman, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation is Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home.
