Maylene Rowell, 80, of Haleyville, entered into rest on Feb. 4, 2019 at Haleyville Health Care.
Maylene was born on March 10, 1938, in Delmar, Alabama. She graduated from Brilliant High School in 1961. Maylene started employed at Marshall Durban Hatchery in 1976 and retired in 2001. She was a member New Hope Church for 15 years. Maylene enjoyed reading newspapers, spending time with her family, and attending church.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Church of Christ.
Maylene is survived by her brother, Bobby Rowell and his wife Carolyn; niece, Heather Cantrell; and nephew, Doyal Hicks.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Lillian Rowell; brothers, Jimmy and Clarence Rowell; sister Betty Jean (Bonnie) Hicks; and nephew, Heath Rowell.
