CULLMAN – One person died following a wreck in the city of Cullman Monday morning. Cullman County Coroner Jeremy L. Kilpatrick identified the victim as Charlotte June Nelson, 79, of Cullman.
Kilpatrick said Nelson was transported to Cullman Regional, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The two-vehicle crash happened on U.S. Highway 31 at the entrance to Sportsman Lake Road at approximately 8:05 a.m.
Cullman Police Lt. Jeff Warnke said the cause of the wreck is still under investigation.
The driver of the other vehicle was transported to Cullman Regional with non-life-threatening injuries.
